Material Traceability

Every material we use is tracked from the time it comes in to the time your parts ship. We keep certifications on file and tied to each job, so if you ever need documentation, it’s there.

First Article Inspection (FAI)

For new parts, we run a full first article before moving into production. That includes sample parts, ballooned drawings, and a detailed inspection report. This lets you confirm everything is right before production starts.

Certified Quality Systems

We run under standards like ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016, with processes that meet aerospace and defense requirements. You get clear documentation and consistent results from the first run through production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our core capabilities include:

  • CNC horizontal turning
  • CNC vertical milling
  • CNC horizontal turning with live tooling, including Swiss machining
  • Wire EDM

We also offer secondary services including:

  • Assembly
  • Laser marking
  • Management of outside processes including specialty machining, grinding, heat treatment, black oxide, anodizing, e-coat, passivation, sinker EDM and other processes and coatings

We can provide support of new projects with prototype-to-production machining. Much of our work is repeat batch production, where we can scale up or down as customer demand changes month-to-month or year-to-year, with a range of 100 to 200,000 EAU.

Our outside diameter range for turning is 10” maximum for chucker work with length dependent on geometry. Our Swiss small diameter machining goes up to 32mm. Automated bar-fed lathes run up to 3” and gantry lathes process up to 8” diameter. Our envelope for milling is 20 × 20 × 20 inches. Our maximum ideal part weight is 30 lbs but we do process small quantities of larger parts.

Our standard tolerance for machining and measuring is ±0.001” standard with ±0.0005” achievable, depending on the application. Standard finish is 64Ra and 32Ra is achievable; finer finish is available through trusted local grinding sources.

We are able to process:

  • Aluminum
  • Steel (carbon and alloy)
  • Stainless steel (including Nitronic 60 and 4140 PH)
  • Tool steel
  • Cast iron (grey and ductile)
  • Brass
  • Inconel 625
  • Monel 400
  • Delrin
  •

We work from bar stock, tubing, plate, sand castings, die castings, forging and extrusions. We often manage and machine customer-supplied raw materials as well.

Yes. Our engineering team actively works with customers early in the process to identify opportunities to improve part designs for machinability, reduce cost, and solve manufacturing challenges — functioning as an agile partner, not just a supplier.

For example, we have experience helping customers identify and resolve tolerance stack-up between our parts and mating parts. We have also helped other customers with reverse engineering and improving part life through alternative material selections. Where possible, we review part application with the customer and make suggestions as to how machining quality or costing can be improved.
